Gracia steen
co-founder, chief strategy officer
Gracia is the original founder and Chief Strategy Officer of Nira Health, where she combines personal conviction with deep technical expertise to reimagine how families navigate mental healthcare. A mother of two, Gracia’s own experience seeking care for her family shaped her belief that the healthcare system must work with parents—not against them. That lived experience continues to inspire her mission: building a smarter, more compassionate mental health journey for kids and their caregivers.
At Nira, Gracia leads the vision, development, and execution of the company’s core technology experiences. She drives the design of digital infrastructure across the entire care model—from patient-facing applications to provider tools—and is at the forefront of redefining how AI and precision psychiatry are applied in real-world pediatric care. Her work is central to ensuring that Nira’s platform is not only clinically robust, but deeply human-centered.
Prior to founding Nira, Gracia built a strong foundation in financial technology and client experience. She served in multiple strategic roles at a wealth management firm, where she helped develop tooling to support sophisticated financial operations for families. Her early career included roles in project management and client success, where she honed her skills in building scalable solutions that balance complexity with usability.
